@Lisa Van AckerenI'm also in Texas. The relevant rule is TDRPC Rule 7.01 - Firm Names and Letterhead. Subsection (a) provides that "Nothing herein shall prohibit a married woman from practicing under her maiden name." Hopefully that's what you're looking for!
If I'm not mistaken, I believe that there's also a rule change that will be put to a vote in 2021 (February, I think) that will, if passed, allow firms to practice under a trade name.
